Volunteer on the Gold Coast | Help People in Need with Birch Foundation
Birch Foundation offers volunteer opportunities on the Gold Coast supporting people experiencing hardship, homelessness, domestic violence, and social isolation. From community outreach to our op shop and events, you can make a real difference in your local community. We welcome volunteers of all abilities. Whether it’s an hour or ongoing support, you can help through street outreach, op shop support, packing our outreach van, fundraising, grant writing to secure funding, admin, marketing, and events. We are a self funded charity, and every bit of support helps us continue our work.
Street Outreach
Be part of something real. Join our outreach runs in Surfers Paradise and Southport, supporting people experiencing homelessness, hardship, and social isolation. Help pack our outreach van, hand out care packages, clothing, and essentials, and take the time to have a genuine conversation. Sometimes it’s not just the items that matter, it’s knowing someone cares.
Op Shop & Cafe
Be a friendly face in our community. Volunteer at our op shop where we provide free shopping support to people in need. Help sort donations, assist visitors, and create a welcoming space where people feel respected and supported. What might seem small to you can mean everything to someone else. Your time helps us stay open, support the community, and reach more people who need it. Every shift you give helps us keep the doors open.
Events & Initiatives
Get involved in our community events and make a real impact. Volunteer at Bunnings sausage sizzles, fundraising lunches and dinners, and the Care & Lifestyle Expo where we connect seniors with the right support and services. Be part of bringing the community together and making a difference.
Admin & Marketing
Make an impact behind the scenes. Help with admin, marketing, social media, and grant writing to support our growth. As a self funded charity, your support helps us secure funding and reach more people who need it. You might not see it directly, but your work makes everything possible.
Fundraising
Help us keep going. Support fundraising activities, community drives, and donor engagement. Every dollar raised helps us provide support to people doing it tough. As a self funded charity, this is how we continue our work. If you have ideas, we’d love to hear them. Come and be part of it, help us run fundraisers, and make a real impact in the community.
